Recreational Area Rules

1. Each household is responsible for ensuring all family members and their guests follow the rules and regulations of the Ironbridge Property Owners Association (IBPOA).
2. NO lifeguard is on duty. MEMBERS AND THEIR GUEST’S USE THE POOL AT THEIR OWN RISK.
3. Adult supervision is required for children under the age of 14 years.
4. Children over the age of six are not permitted in the wading pool. Proper parental supervision of children using the wading pool is required at all times.
5. SWIM DIAPERS are required at all times for young children using the pools.
6. Pool hours will be 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The pool will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
7. One electronic gate key has been issued to each household. Replacement gate keys may be purchased at a price determined by the Board.
8. The pool, recreation and common areas are reserved for the use of property owners and their guests. Each household may have up to six guests without prior authorization obtained from the pool chairman. Prior authorization for additional guests may be obtained in the same manner as a request for a private pool party reservation.
9. Each member is responsible for keeping the pool and recreation areas clean. Please place trash and recyclable items in properly marked bins.
10. Glass objects, breakable plastic containers, water balloons, pets, and wheeled vehicles (except wheel chairs) are not permitted in the pool area.
11. Running, diving, roughhousing, or offensive language is not permitted.
12. Smoking is not permitted in the pool area or recreational areas.
13. Alcohol use is not permitted in the pool area or recreational areas.
14. Radios are allowed, provided other members or guests are not bothered.
15. The pool rope and safety equipment are present for safety use only and not to be used otherwise.
16. The water hose is used for filling the pools and cleaning the deck area and is not for recreational use.
17. The storage room is for pool equipment storage only and shall not be used for personal storage of the personal property of any homeowner.
18. Vehicles are not allowed to remain on the parking lot after the pool is closed. Violators will be towed at owner’s expense.
19. Violations of the approved rules are the financial and moral responsibility of each home owner.
20. The IBPOA Board may change rules and regulations as necessary to maintain safety and appropriate use of the pool and recreational areas (By-Laws Article IV, Section 1).
General Pool Rules
1. Questions regarding pool operations should be directed to the pool committee or any Board Member.
2. The IBPOA Board is responsible for disciplinary action for violations of rules and regulations of recreational facilities.
3. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations may result in loss of privileges to use the facilities (By-Laws Article IV, Section 1).
Hot Tub Rules
1. Rules regarding the safe use and operation of the hot tub/spa are posted and must be followed by members and their guests.
2. Persons not potty-trained are not allowed to use the hot tub/spa.
Private Parties at the Pool
1. The pool pavilion may be used for private parties and reservations must be scheduled with the pool chairman, Stephanie McCormick at least one week prior to the date of the party. An adult Ironbridge resident must be present at all times during the party.
2. Parties are limited to two hours and to non-holidays. No private parties allowed on a holiday.
3. A refundable fee deposit of $50.00, a signed Recreational Area contract, and lifeguard information (if applicable) must be submitted to the pool chairman, Stephanie McCormick, in order to reserve the pavilion at least one week prior.
4. Any party with 20 or more “swimmers” must have a certified lifeguard hired for the duration of the party at the resident’s expense.

1. At the October meeting prior to the annual meeting, property owners may evaluate the pool rules. Any proposed changes will be printed in the next newsletter and at the annual meeting the proposed changes may be approved by a majority vote of those present at the annual meeting. Pool rules will remain in effect without changes, unless modifications are made at a future annual meeting or necessitated by action of the Board (By-Laws Article IV, Section 1).
